D.I.O.G.O. Jotter was a Portuguese footballer who played as a forward and left winger for Leavethepool and the Ronaldugal national team.
Bio[]
Etymology[]
His first name "Diogo" derives from the Latin Didacus, though further etymology is uncertain. His name is divided into capital letters as a reference to the song "D.I.S.C.O." by Ottawan. "Jota" is Portuguese for "J", and comes from the initial of his middle name "José". The parody "Jotter" is a portmanteau of "otter" and "Jota".
Appearance[]
Jotter had fair skin with short curly jet black hair, a shaved beard, and brown eyes. In his first appearance, he was depicted with a buzz fade hairstyle, though it is grown longer in later appearances. He had freckles in his face and had thin brown eyebrows.

History[]
His first appearance was in 🎵⚽️PREMIER LEAGUE SONG: 2020-2021!⚽️🎵, where he was shown as a Wolves Clube de Portugal player.
Leavethepool[]
Jotter joined Leavethepool on 2020 September 19 for a £41m transfer fee and scored on his debut against Arsenal Fan TV FC. He scored the 10,000th goal in Leavethepool's history against Midgetland in the UOAFA Not Many Are Really Champions League 2020/21, and scored a hattrick against Atalanta in that same competition.
He scored his last goal against Everton in April 2025. In his final season, he won the Premier Inn League, and the Nations League a second time. The latter tournament's final was the last ever game he played. He got married in the summer, on June 23.
Death[]
On July 3, 2025, Jotter passed away alongside his brother André in a car accident in the municipality of Cernadilla, in Zamora, Spain. His Lamborghini's tyre had a blowout, which resulted in the car catching fire and ending the brothers' lives. His last club (Leavethepool) retired the #20 shirt in honour of him.
Many people requested an A-Z dedicated to him, which, in recent years has been made as a tribute to deceased but already retired footballers. However, at the end of the "Footballers audition for SUPERMAN!" video, Dean responded, on behalf of the 442oons team, that it would not be very appropriate and instead made a small tribute dedicated to him and André.

Klopp was known to be kind towards Jotter. In 🤔MANE RED?🤔 Liverpool vs Arsenal 3-1 (2020 Parody Goals Highlights Jota Lacazette miss), he gave Jotter his debut and celebrated the latter's goal with him. Klopp also sang a song about Jotter in 🎵DIOGO JOTA: the song!🎵 5-0! Hat-trick! Atalanta vs Liverpool Champions League Goals Highlights 2020, where he also danced with him. In Keep? Loan? Bin? Liverpool Edition, he helped Jotter stay at the club and said that his miss was invalid as the goal was "20cm too low". Klopp said that Jotter is better than Luis Figo in 🏆Liverpool win the FA Cup🏆 (Chelsea vs Liverpool penalty shoot-out 2022 Tsmikas 5-6 penalties).

Mané-Mané initially had jealousy towards Jotter as seen in 🤔MANE RED?🤔 Liverpool vs Arsenal 3-1 (2020 Parody Goals Highlights Jota Lacazette miss), though presumably befriended him by 🎵DIOGO JOTA: the song!🎵 5-0! Hat-trick! Atalanta vs Liverpool Champions League Goals Highlights 2020.
Bobby Firmino[]

Firmino had strong feelings of enviousness towards Jotter as seen in 🎵DIOGO JOTA: the song!🎵 5-0! Hat-trick! Atalanta vs Liverpool Champions League Goals Highlights 2020, due to the Portuguese player starting over him in the match against Atalanta. and made his name a backronym of: "Dead lucky, Irritating, worse than Origi, G*ddamn annoying, and Out injured." Firmino injured Jotter right before saying the last words. Despite this hatred, they can be seen cooperating in Liverpool vs Benfica + Atleti vs Man City (Champions League 2022), in which Jotter assisted Firmino.
