Santos Futebol Clube, popularly known as Santos, is a Brazilian sports club in the city of Santos, on the coast of the state of São Paulo. It was founded on April 14, 1912, its initial colors would be white, blue and gold, but a year after its foundation, it was decided that the club's colors would become white and black. He sends his matches to his own stadium, Vila Belmiro, but occasionally moves his games to Pacaembu. Its biggest rivals in football are Corinthians, with whom it disputes Classic Alvinegro, Palmeiras, with whom it disputes Classic of Saudade, and São Paulo, with dispute San-São.

Santos has become one of the most successful clubs in Brazil and recognized worldwide in football. He became famous in the 60's for the various international and national titles won and for having revealed Pelé, considered the best player of the century by FIFA and also the greatest scorer in the history of Santos and the Brazilian team. Below Pelé with 77 goals for the national team in official matches, there is also another player revealed by the club, Neymar, who reached the mark of 64 goals and surpassed Ronaldo with 62 goals.
Throughout its history, Santos won a large number of international titles, with emphasis on the World Cups of 1962 and 1963, the Copa Libertadores of 1962, 1963 and 2011 (Brazilian record holder alongside Grêmio and São Paulo), the Conmebol Cup 1998, the 1968 Intercontinental Champions Super Cup, the 1968 South American Super Cup and the 2012 South American Recopa. In the national scene, he is eight times Brazilian champion, adding five Brazil Cups won consecutively from 1961 to 1965, the Roberto Gomes Pedrosa Tournament 1968 and the Brazilian Championships 2002 and 2004. Still at the national level, the club has a Copa do Brasil won in 2010, totaling nine national achievements. Other important titles include five Rio-São Paulo Tournaments and 22 São Paulo Championships, becoming the biggest champion since the professionalization of this competition. In the sum of official titles of international and national scope, the club has 17 achievements. Altogether, adding official competitions, friendlies and other cups, the club has 305 titles.
Santos was elected by FIFA in 2000, the fifth largest football club of the 20th century, being the best club in the Americas on the list and also received in the year of its centenary in the Chamber of Deputies in Brasilia by FIFA, the award for "greatest club 20th century South American player ", Santos is also one of the three clubs in the country that have never been relegated to the second division, in addition to being the Brazilian club that most faced foreigners in history. It is also the only Brazilian club to be state, national, continental and world champion in the same year, in 1962, and the first and only to win the triple artillery in Brazilian football: state, Brazilian and Copa do Brasil. Another unique achievement of the club is that it scored the most goals in the history of world football, having been the first to reach the milestone of 12 thousand goals.
In 2023, Santos were relegated to Brasileiro Serie B for the first time in 111 years.
